Chess Playing
I am an enthusiastic, although not particularly strong, chess player (my current ECF grade is 117).
I play for the Metropolitan Chess Club in the London and Middlesex leagues. I also occasionally play for the Middlesex County under 125 team in inter-county competitions.
Additionally, I play online at the Internet Chess Club and Free Internet Chess Server under the handle "Sheridan".
Software
I use Scid (Shanes Chess Informational Database), an excellent piece of GPL licensed chess database software by Shane Hudson. I really can't say enough good things about this program.

I wrote a small add-on script for Scid which allows opening of Scid databases in an exisiting Scid instance on the current display if available. sc_remote is available on my software page.
